ALCO Insurance Brokers Pte Ltd (ALCO) is a licensed insurance broking firm based in Singapore. Since its establishment in 1989, the company has specialized in serving the growing building construction industry. In line with the government’s initiatives to develop the Maritime sector, ALCO entered the marine insurance market. This expansion became possible when AL Marine Holdings (BVI) Limited (“AL Marine”) acquired a majority stake in ALCO Insurance Brokers Pte Ltd in November 2012. AL Marine is the holding company of ALCO Insurance Brokers Pte Ltd and Andrew Liu & Co. Ltd.
Andrew Liu & Co. Ltd, established in 1988, is an insurance broking firm in China that specializes in Marine Hull, Protection & Indemnity insurance, and Freight Demurrage & Defense insurance. They are known for their expertise in handling claims, particularly complex cases where there may be uncertainty about policy coverage or when insurers have grounds to reject a claim.
With Andrew Liu & Co. Ltd as our sister company, we work closely together to offer legal advice on commercial disputes such as charter parties. We encourage our clients to seek our advice before such matters escalate into disputes or claims. In cases where arbitration or legal proceedings are necessary, we approach our clients’ claims as if they were our own and strive to achieve the best and most cost-effective resolution to these disputes.
