Foreign worker medical insurance is a mandatory insurance to cover Work Permit and S Pass holders. An employer is required under the Act to maintain medical insurance coverage at least $15,000 per disability for each Work Permit and S Pass holder. A few Insurers in the market offers higher medical coverage between $20,000 to $50,000 per disability.

The insurance covers inpatient care and day surgery, including hospital bills for conditions that are not work related. With the mandatory increase in the benefits, buying medical insurance for your foreign worker will help to reduce your exposure to large bills.
